The pharmacy technician, working under the supervision of a pharmacist, peforms duties as assigned to properly inventory, store, prepare, charge, credit, and deliver medications to the patients of JFK. The pharmacy technician possesses good communication skills and functions effectively as a member of the pharmacy department team.

One year as a hospital or retail pharmacy technician or comparable experience preferred, but not required. Willing to train. High school diploma or equivalent Must possess the following skills: use of computer, pharmacy calculations, medical terminology. Registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy is required. The technician has 180 days to obtain after employment begins. During the first 10 days of employment, the registration process must begin. Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred, not required.

 Additional Information

Weekend and/or Holiday Rotation may be required.
Rotating Shifts may be required.
