The registered nurse in the ambulatory care Family Medicine setting is responsible for providing competent and comprehensive care to patients and their families throughout the patient’s life span. The nursing process is the basis for comprehensive care with specific focus on health education, health maintenance, disease prevention and continuity of care. The nurse actively participates in the multi-disciplinary approach to health care and views the individual and family as an integral part of that team. The RN supports and implements the philosophy, goals and standards of JFK Medical Center.

Acute hospital experience preferred. Ambulatory care experience preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Ability to work as a member of a team centered approach to patient care. Demonstrates effective communication skills. Demonstrates the ability to successfully complete orientation to the Family Medicine Center and all the associated competencies. Current Registered Nurse license by the State of New Jersey. CPR certification required. ACLS and PALS preferred.
