Position Summary: The Patient Care Technician works under the supervision of the Professional Nursing Personnel and assists the Professional nursing staff by performing a variety of tasks relating to the direct and indirect patient care and in the maintenance of a clean and organized environment. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patients´ status. The individual shall display competence and render care/treatment for patient age groups including Adult and Geriatric.

Work Experience: Prior experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
Education: High School diploma or equivalency. Certificate from Certified Nurse Aide program required. Completion of Patient Care Tech or Unlicensed Assistive Personnel Course is required or that the individual is a nursing student who has completed one clinical
Technical/Equipment: Demonstrates ability to successfully complete orientation and all associated competencies.
